I Want...

Have you heard of Joe Hill? He is the son of Stephen King and has published 2 books so far. I didn't realize that Stephen King had begat children that were authors and when I found out, I got a hard-on that was 2 inches long and didn't go away for 3 days. I read his first book, Heart-Shaped Box and really liked it. I just got 20th Century Ghosts today and am taking my time reading it up.

I read somewhere that a signed, first edition copy of Stephen King's first book sold for around 10 grand. You can get a signed, first edition of Joe Hill's book on eBay for a bit under $200 right now. My fingers are so itchy to go there and hit the "buy it now" button that I almost can't stand it.

But I won't. I have books stashed all over this damn house. I don't need any more.

I wish Sweety liked to read so I could catch him up in my enthusiasm.

I never was a huge Stephen King fan. The downside of being a family full of readers is that you end up with a house full of books and eventually run out of places to put them all.

The Cap'n is not a reader either. Sometimes when I've had my nose in a book for several hours, he will literally stand in front of me, shaking his head in bewilderment at my enjoyment. On the other hand, I don't get how he can watch so much History and Military Channel... I'll check out Joe Hill; thanks for the tip! (I love a great scary story.)

My mom always says, "Want in one hand and shit in the other and see which one fills up faster." Isn't she just a doll?

Hey, when you get a second will you email me? I need to ask you something. sharashoe@yahoodotcom

Ginamonster - I'll check it out!

Mike - Hadn't thought about the issue of not having space for books if we both read. I guess this way, I can know that whenever I pick up a stray book in the house that it's one that I liked to read. I got hooked on Stephen King when I was in the 3rd grade and got The Shining at a garage sale. It's no wonder that I have fucked up dreams.

Here Today, Gone Tomorrow - It bugs Sweety if I sit and read while everyone is watching t.v. He feels like I'm not participating in what he is doing.

The Phosgene Kid - Thanks for the offer but that wouldn't be the same. I've got books stashed in all the drawers here. And the bookshelf. It took me forever to decide how to organize the bookshelf.

Sara Sue - Heh, I like your mom's saying.

Patti_Cake - They're both pretty good reads. Lemme know what you think after you read them!

Lady of the Hills - If you're not a fan of creepy then you probably won't like Joe Hill's books. The book of short stories, 20th Century Ghosts, isn't too creepy but the stories are odd.

Moooooog35 - Don't bother with the enhancement emails. Penis pumps are the way to go.
