Today we trekked to the Ice! exhibit. It was pretty neat. They had some slides that were made out of ice. If you lifted your feet up when you went down you could get up to a pretty good speed. I like ice slides better than the regular ones.
Going out in public every now and then reminds me of how much I like to stay at home. There was one family that went into the exhibit about the same time that we did and they kept holding up progress so they could take staged pictures. If it's you and 100 other people, it's not polite to expect everyone to get out of the way while you take a picture of your screeching spawn.

I just clicked over to read about the ICE exhibit and checked it out. Sounds cool. I had to laugh when I read the first FAQ: "The exhibit is kept at 9 degrees. What do I wear?" I know that's a legitimate question for a Floridian, but it's hilarious to someone from Chicago.
Those Parka's are BEAUTIFUL...you all look like you are so cozy and warm in them...Sweety's two boys look so much like him, it's scary, isn't it? Strong gene pool! (lol)

MCB - It's funny but the only photos that we have are ones that were taken at amusement park type places.
Anne Arkham - I wasn't surprised to see a number of people in shorts and flip-flops. These were the same people complaining that they couldn't feel their faces after a few minutes in the exhibit.
OOLOTH - The apple didn't fall far from the tree in our house! I loved the parkas, very cozy.

AMEN! I can't STAND those kinds of people. My step-it (my version of Stepmom) used to make a huge deal out of making everyone pose for the most stupid things. When I started to make fun of her for it (loudly) she stopped... we haven't seen her stupid camera in a couple of years.
Only in Florida do you go to an ICE exhibit... Come to Iowa sometime we have a 6 month ICE exhibit!!!!
Amy - I wanted to choke this lady. She gave me the evil eye when I was coming out of an ice tunnel that she was trying to photograph. I hope all her pictures turned out crappy.
Anon - I'd love to be in Iowa. I hate Florida. I miss having seasons.
