Words

Isn't it scary how powerful words can be? That you can open your mouth and by saying a few syllables, change your life? Sometimes I keep quiet because I don't know what I may say. Maybe I'll say something nice or maybe I'll say something that's best unsaid.

Yeah, been there, done that. When Honey and I were dating we got back to her house one night and her nosey grandmother was there. She started asking all these questions, "Where have ya'll been, Where did you eat, What did you eat, Did you go to the movies, What did you see, What was it about, What was it rated". It just went on and on. And it wasn't a curious or conversational kind of questioning. It was more like an interrogation. I finally answered one of her questions "We've been minding our own business" and left. I thought Honey would be mad but she thought it was funny. Evidently Granny had a reputation for being nosy.

Sometimes I worry if I don't say what I'm feeling I'll develop a stomach ulcer. Let it out!

I don't usually take before I think but there have been some occasions (principally professionally) where the brain was not fully engaged. I'm much better now and usually keep my mouth shut when I should.

One thing I have observed is friends forgive (personal experience) and business fire (not my mistake but others in my organization).

Mike - I have that same alcohol induced illness! Sweety almost kicked me outta the car a couple of weeks ago when I was in it's clutches.

Titus - He may have been an idiot but that is one good saying.

Michael - That was a funny comeback to Grandma. That's the way my Grandma was too.

Bekah - If I have something to say that I think may cause irreversible change to enter my life I let it set for 3 days. And if I still need to say it after then, I will.

MCB - I'm more of an observer at work. I like to just sit and listen to find out the gossip. It's amazing what people will say in front of you if they don't notice you.

Switch - For the most part, I vomit greatness but sometimes it's shit. Lately I've been trying to abide by "don't say anything if you don't have something nice to say" and I've been rather quiet.

My throat hurts if I hold back. I have to say what I'm thinking.

Well, I was thinking some crazy stuff yesterday and I'm glad I kept my yap shut. If Sweety were to ever kick me to the curb it would be after a PMSish rant.
