Unconscious Mutterings

Sweety is a big sleep talker. He piped up the other night that when he was reincarnated that he'd like to come back as a canary and live in a big, round, golden cage. We talked for a good 10 minutes about his daily life as a bird before I thought to record it. Notice how I told him that being a white bird wouldn't keep him from being dirty? I like to skew his dreams in an unhealthy manner if the opportunity presents itself.

I have a lot of fun talking to him at night. If I can't sleep, I can start talking to him and hear all about what he's doing in dreamland.

Seriously... sometimes I absolutely ADORE how your mind works. Really, you are like the ONLY person that I would NEVER say, "if only she could harness her powers for good" to.

My oldest daughter used to sleep walk. First of all, it was freaky as hell. One night she came walking out in the living room and I convinced her that the laundry basket was her bed. She laid down in it and closed her eyes.

Later I carried her (still in the laundry basket) into her room and dumped her in the bed. It was just much easier than trying to lead her back to her bed later.

Amy - My powers wouldn't be half as much fun if they were being used for good!

Mike - Small children sleeping or talking in their sleep freaks me out. I think it's the devil in them.

That is simply amazing! Does he remember all this when he wakes up? And that he is asleep all through these conversations....extraordinary!
You should keep that tape recorder by the bed all the time....I would have loved to have heard the first ten minutes of this dream, too!

See if you can get him to agree to buy you a car or something.
