Ouch!

Sweety and the boys are always wrestling and roughhousing around. I've told them a hundred times that someone is going to get hurt. I say this because I have a feeling it will be Sweety and last night he got his.

He got a head-butt to face while him and LittleBrother(11) were goofing around and broke his fucking nose. I hate to say, "I told you so." - but I did!

Last night some of us got off of work a few hours early since we were so slow and decided to go and have a few drinks. This is the first time I have ever done anything like that in the 6.5 years that I've been here and of course, the night that I'm late is when Sweety is trying to call and tell me that his nose has been broken.

Luckily, LB hit him straight on instead of from the side so it doesn't look too bad.

I knew something was wrong as soon as I stepped out of my car because I could hear him snoring from the garage. He said as soon as it happened he puked and then fell asleep. I guess that is the body's way of dealing with trauma.

He let me squoosh it and it feels all smushy.

Did he go to the dr to have nose scanned or anything?

Now you have to help him come up with a good story to explain it all:

"As I was saving the old woman from the burning building, a large timber fell and landed on my nose."

..or..

"My girl sure can roughhouse in bed when she gets drunk enough. Word of advice: Erotic Asphyxiation should not be performed by a woman with a six pack of Bartles-N-James in her."

Ugh....my face hurts in sympathy.

Ouch.

I used to rough house with my son when he was younger but one day he learned the value of whacking the old man in the balls. Brought me to my freaking knees. That was the end of rough housing for us.

I fell down once and landed on my nose. I know that pain all too well. My sympathies to your husband. (Still can't bring myself to refer to him as "Sweety.")

Ohhh, The Pain!!! Do you suppose that will finish off all the 'rogh hiusing'?? It sure would finish it for me! Maybe he should go yo the doctor...they may need to re-set his nose, you know?

BTW: You and me both Chickie, about what the hell my neighbors are doing....Thre is another structure going up right near the Chicken/Turkey Pen....I'm afraid to think what other Farm Animals are going to go there" Pigs, maybe??? I will be watching very carefully, you can be sure....!

Bekah - He didn't go to the doctor. It wasn't so bad that he couldn't mash it back into place.

Moooooog35 - Explanation 2 hits a little close to home...

Here Today, Gone Tomorrow - Mine too. I'm trying to be extra careful and not whack him in the head when we are in bed. I am known for causing accidental injuries.

Mike - They have learned to value of ball whacking so Sweety protects those. I guess he was busy keeping those safe and left his head uncovered.

Lady of the Hills - I have a feeling that this will cause a drop in the rough housing just because LittleBrother feels so bad about it.

It will be interesting to see what your neighbors' grand plan is!

Uh I sort of think Sweety should have went to the doctor! Poor guy!

Patti - I do too but he insists that a doc wouldn't have done anything else. Silly man.

Are you posting pics soon?

Poor Sweety!

Chickie said...

Amy - I don't have any pics because it doesn't look too bad. His eyes are a little black and nose is a bit swollen.

Doctors don't do much for a broken nose anyway. And, if he's like most dads, he won't stop until the boys are bigger, faster, stronger than he is.

Midwestern City Boy - Yeah, he said a doc couldn't do anything to make it any better so why bother going? At least it is still straight. Swolt, but straight.

I can't believe that I thought a broken nose would stop the horseplay. They were all at it again last night!
