A Date With Chi Chi

I had been trying to decide what I was going to do on Friday when I took the day off. I'd been kicking around the idea of going to the beach to snoop around and Cissy Strutt's latest photo sealed the deal. It made me really want to go to the beach. This morning I was checking to see which beach I could take a canine to and realized that Friday is the start of Bike Week. Which means there will be people elbow-to-elbow and you have to pay to park anywhere. Not the relaxing day I had envisioned. Part of me wants to go to Daytona to walk around and look at bikes and people watch but I know that Sweety would shit his pants all morning long if he knew I was over there.

There's a town nearby that has a downtown area that's close to the lake and on the lake front there is The Best Grass Ever! Whenever I'm there, I must take off my shoes and squish the grass between my toes. If I had grass like this in my yard - I'd sleep on it. I kid you not. I'm thinking that Chi Chi deserves to frolic in TBGE so I'll load her up and go there Friday morning. (unless it's chilly. then we won't go. she won't walk in the cold. just stands there and shivers. i think she needs heat to get her joints moving.) We shall dine at a neat little German restaurant nearby because you can eat on the patio there with your dog. There is also a dog park in the area but Chi Chi isn't much of a socialite so we'll skip that.

In the summer time I have nice grass here in Michigan that the dogs could romp around on. I think you should send Chi Chi and Tiny Dog here for a vacation in the summertime. Carmen would love their company and they would have a 3 acre yard to romp around in.

You could send Stinky Dog too, but somehow I don't think Stinky would enjoy it as much as Tiny and Chi Chi.

We have really cool Dog Parks here in Texas where there is grass, sand, and the pooches can run free, at least until they slam into the fence.

My hairy little fools used to get me in trouble all the time with trying to do our "Secret things" when the missus was around. They never seemed to get it that some things, like cuddling on the sofa could only be done when she was gone.

Sounds like a great day, albeit beach-less. Have fun.

Mike - Keep your eyes peeled for Tiny. Will you accept her C.O.D.? Chi Chi won't come. She said she doesn't like to fly. Stinky is already looking forward to a few weeks of peace without Tiny constantly licking her eyes.

heather - Chi Chi's first owner was a biker and she had a leather jacket that he took off of a teddy bear. I remember seeing him roll into the driveway and she was sitting on the gas tank.

Thomas - Whenever I take the hounds to the dog park they never actually play. They spend the whole time circling me like buzzards. I should probably take them more so they'd get used to it.

You need to have a talk and teach Sweety the "secret things". I don't think he knows how to do those.

Cissy Strutt - We will!

Nice of you to spend some quality timing bonding with Chichi!!

The Phosgene Kid - I figure either she'll love getting out of the house or will be so confused that she won't know what to think.

Make sure if you squish the grass between your toes, that you keep on the lookout for dog poo.

Happens to me all the time.

..you know...when I walk in dog-poo infested grass.
