Do You Hear That?

For the love of all that is good and holy. Can't these kids LB shut up for TWO consecutive minutes? The whining! Sweet, tiny, hasn't let out a colicky cry yet, baby Jesus! The whining! What have I done to deserve this? I feed you little dirt urchins. I took you to the movies. (Hancock rocked, by the way.) All I want is a tiny bit of PEACE and QUIET! Are your damn 3 inch voices broken? Pick, pick, pick, pick. I swear, if I hear LittleBrother(11) whine one. more. time....I do not know what I will do. I was thisclose to going into their room while ago and just yelling at them that I was fixing to lose my shit if they didn't knock it off. BigBrother wants LB to go swimming with him and LB is refusing to go. How about you go on and swim kid? You know, since we have that fucking pool in the backyard? Make me feel like it's - oh, I dunno - appreciated?

And what is up with this piece of shit laptop? I had to reformat the thing this weekend and now it's freezing up. Work, motherfucker! Work! Aaaagh!

This new schedule is really nice for spending time with Sweety but it is wrecking my blog life. I now see how easy it is push it to the wayside while doing other shit. Like listening to children.

How is it the boys can be so great one minute - so great that I just love them to death - and a few minutes later I'm ready to sharpen a broom and poke them and laugh while they run from me?

I will be so glad when LB's voice changes. Maybe his whine wouldn't bother me so much if it was a couple of octaves lower.

Despite this post, I am still in a very happy place. It's a fucking miracle.

First Bitches!!!!
Now without further ado, I am very very happy to know you are still in that happy place :)
Kids do get on your nerves, honey you ought to try having a toddler. They will make your eyes bleed with their constant whining, why? why? why? and stick to you like glue but I wouldn't trade her for the world.
The boys will mellow out as they get older. Chad & Chandler were the same exact way. (my nephews on hubs side).
Glad your schedule is so sweet and hey, don't worry about blogging. We will be right here whenever you have time to write and/or comment. I miss your posts but I do understand that life is there and hey it's SUMMERTIME!!!!

LOL, LOL, LOL...I LOVE you Chickie!
GREAT POST! The annoying "whining" might make me take a hot poker to someone...! (No, not really...) But I do understand the frustration of Whining Voices...! HELP!!!
And I really think your solution--LB's Voice changing, Is Fabulous!
May it change, overnight--TONIGHT!

I really miss when you don't post, my dear...But, I understand that "life" gets in the way of Blogging, sometimes...
I'm glad you are still in 'the happy place'.....! (Except for that pesky annoying whining stuff..)

I should have been put in jail for all the treacherous thoughts I had when my kids were younger. (21 months apart). "And this too will pass!" You have to learn the fine art of "tuning them out!" It took me awhile, but once achieved - BLISS. I was always ready to jump if the scream of pain or the word BLOOD was spoken - but the void I created for the whining was great.

Give the boys a present - the back o' yer hand!! And swimming will be easy once they make it out of the sack.

Glad that despite it all you maintain your cheery demeanor!!

That's kids. But, remember, they grow up rally fast and some day you "miss" all of the ruckus.

Tape record the boys going at it.. then tell them they have to listen to it played back on a higher volume ...repeated 6 times just to get a feel for what you have to listen to,,,feel free to wear earplugs during the playback!

Monogram Queen - I'm afraid that they boys will be grown and gone before they mellow out. I'm pretty sure that LB is going to go postal on BB someday and I'll only have 1 kid to worry with. I'll probably be able to get back on blog schedule when the summer is over.

Lady of the Hills - For real, if I could do something to change his voice overnight - I would! I told Sweety the other day that I wouldn't care if they called each other fucking assholes as long as it wasn't in a whiny voice.

themom - Usually, I can tune the boys out. I say that they sound like white noise when I don't even hear it. They were just so NOT white noise a couple of days ago!

The Phosgene Kid - The only thing that saves them from corporal punishment is the fact that they didn't come out of my coochie. I'm so glad the cheer hasn't left me. I wouldn't be able to deal otherwise.

Midwestern City Boy - I know. And it makes me feel guilty sometimes that I'm wishing them older!

here today, gone tomorrow - Amen, sister!

Anonymous - Oh, I like that! I'm going to have to get a recorder and turn it on the next time we are on a car ride. That's when it is the most annoying.

The Phosgene Kid - Girls would be worse. (for me anyway) I figure if we had girls, they'd be just like their mother and I'd have to drink a lot to cope.

Bo Snagley - I'm starting to. Mine is really acting a fool. If I tilt it just right and don't breathe, then it doesn't freeze up.

Zube Girl - Maybe you'll get lucky and Zee won't be a whiner. Is that even possible though?
