I'm not a football fan. Probably because I don't understand what the hell the players are doing on the field. And because it seems weird for me to worry about people who are making millions of dollars just playing a game. Whenever Sweety or the boys watch a game, I remind them that the same outcome will be had if they don't watch the game. Why not just wait for the news to come on and see who won?
Last night Sweety was watching FSU play somebody and I was so pleased to recognize one of the players when he was named: Ernie Sims. I knew who he was because of Bonanza Jellybean's post where she talked about his red eyes. What a wonderful learning tool this blogging has become!
And while I was dozing off, listening to the game go into overtime and more overtime, I was trying to think of what could happen that would pique my interest in football. And that would be if football games were played by homeless people or bums. The winner would get a house or liquor money. That would be more neat to see than millionaires chasing after a piece of dead animal, in my opinion.

or if it were played by women in ice skating outfits. now that would be interesting. helmets are optional
I watched that game only as it started into overtime. I went to Penn State and dated Joe Paterno's daughter's husband in High School. I had a small vested interest.
Mike - It is OK to not watch football. Maybe you could start converting other men?
Gladiator style would be worth watching.
Bo Snagley - Isn't that what they do in women's wrestling?
RSG - I started watching when the first OT began. When I realized that it could drag on forever, I went to bed!

My husband (thank God) is not a sports fan in the least. He says it always makes him uncomfortable because guys always assume other guys are sports fans...
I was thrilled when I found this out because I don't care for football in the least. I also refuse to "celebrate" the stuporbowl since it landed on my 21st birthday and everyone told me I'd have to wait a few days to celebrate my B-Day because the "game" was more important.
(Except my mom... mom is like me)
Bo Snagley - Oh. You aren't missing much.
Amy - What a crappy birthday experience. I see how that would color your idea about the Superbowl! That's the one game that I kinda pay attention to because I like the commercials that they run during it.
Armaedes - Watching the game doesn't have anything to do with what the score will be. And with catalog shopping versus the mall, well, you have to make sure of it before you bring it home. Otherwise you've gotta go the the post office to return stuff.
Heh, didn't mean to get your underwear in a bunch.
