Technology is Great!
There's a sandwich place (Panera Bread) near my work that has free wireless service! I found it yesterday when Sweety took me to lunch. Woo hoo! Now I can feed my internet addiction while away from home. I really only plan on using it on Thursdays. I don't usually get around to looking at the HNT pictures from the people that comment here til Saturday or sometimes the next Tuesday or Wednesday. Then I feel compelled to read any of the posts they wrote after the HNT post. Last Saturday I spent over 4 freaking hours looking at everyone's blog that had been kind enough to comment on mine. This way, I can see HNT shots on Thursday and visit with Sweety on Saturday instead of hiding from his evil eye when he sees me reading a blog. This new access to wireless internet service could save my marriage.

that's what i thought but once i got my laptop over there, i could never get it to connect with the panera bread network. argh. mainly my fault. i don't think i ever configured my wireless card correctly on my laptop. :(
ahh, the joys of technology!
That's ironic because the internet has probably done more damage than good for my marraige.
Michael
MAM - Huh, what did you say? I can't hear you...
Mike - I can't wait to see that one! That would probably be a good time to do a photo post also.
Michael - You have to make sure you use it properly :)
Nevr mind all that. Wheres th pizza place that allows fokes t feed their heroin addiction?
You know why I wish there were Panera Breads here? Three words: "sourdough bread bowls."
Mmm, put some cheeder and broccoli soup in there and DAMN that's one delicious lunch.
*chedder.
I was so excited thinking about it I couldn't even spell.
Joey Polanski - I just have my prescription called in to the heroin pharmacy and then I can pick it up. It's on the way to the place with wireless internet service.
Bekah - Is "cheddar" what you're grasping for?
Free wireless Internet is great. very soon, My buddies and I will sit in a bar/pub that we like and order our Mardi Gras beads over lunch. And of course revel ourselves with tales of past Mardi Gras parties. Its really neat to be able to be on the 'net on your own equipment over lunch. Especially if your company keeps a record of your internet browsing like mine does.
Sigh. I traded in my laptop for a desktop. It's faster, but I miss the freedom.
I've got a Panera near me too...think I'll test that out someday at lunch.
You know, here in the metro Saint Louis area, Panera restaurants are called Saint Louis Bread Co. and they have free wireless. It is great. We have class meetings there weekly.
MCB - We have wireless access at work but have to be in the building to use it. I'm pretty sure I'd get fired if I hauled my laptop in the breakroom to use on my lunchbreak.
So, are you gonna throw the beads you order? :)
Anne Arkham - It's the opposite here. The laptop is much faster than my old desktop. I didn't realize how slow it was til I had something to compare it to.
Kyuball & Patrick D - Panera will now be my only lunchtime destination. We'll see how it works today!
Middle Aged Man - You did speak the truth :(
