She Amazes Me

That bint of an exwife just blows my mind. We find out today that LB(9) didn't go to school on Friday. I asked him if he was sick or told his mom that he didn't feel good. Nope, she just asked both the boys if they'd like to stay home. BB(11) had the good sense to go but LB did not. I advised them that in the future, if their mom asked them if they wanted to stay home and they weren't sick they better go to school. They went to stay the weekend at the beach (which is 30 minutes away) after school on Friday and I think she wanted to get an early start on the weekend. It was supposed to be just her and the boys but her new boyfriend and his kids went too. The boys were a little attention starved when they got here on Monday. LB(9) asked me this afternoon if we could all go to the beach alone sometime.

Sweety called her after he found out but she didn't answer the phone. He's going to try and call her again tomorrow and if he doesn't get her then I have been given free reign to do whatever I feel like.

My plan is as follows:

Knock on her door and say -
"I'm here because Sweety is just a little too agitated to talk to you. If the boys miss any more school on Fridays then you will only be seeing them on the weekends. Have a good day."

I do hope Sweety doesn't change his mind and tell me to leave it alone. It just pisses me off. They need to go to school.

Friday is the ONLY day that she has to get them to school (unless it was her weekend then she takes them on Monday morning) and if it's going to be such an almighty trial for her to get them there then they can just stay here during the school week.

i so agree with you...school is damn important...and just because she wants to get a head start on the weekend with her new bf, doesnt mean the children should sacrifice their education...

ugh

peace...

Being OK with the boys not going to school sets a really bad example. Not starting your weekend until mid afternoon isn't the worst thing in the world. Grrrh.

That woman is incredible...IT'S ALL ABOUT HER, ALWAYS, ISN"T IT???
Everytime you write about her the thing I come away with EACH time is what a completely self-involved narciccist she is, a self centered only-thinking-about HER-needs person ...it's almost pathological, isn't it? You are such a better mother to these two boys than she could ever be...It's truly incredible...and painful..It must be terribly terribly painful for them...

Monkey - I'm glad that at least BB(11) had the sense to go to school. LB has been in big trouble before for weasling out of school when he's at her house and LB's previous ass chewings at least made an impression on his brother.

MCB - She's just a moron. She's said in the past when they skipped a day "Well, it's just ONE day!"

OOLOTH - After reading your comment I tried to think of ONE good thing that she's done for the boys (in case maybe I'm just telling all the bad stuff) and I honestly couldn't. We're glad that they just come home from over there alive. I know it's hard for them when they're at her house but hopefully the life they lead at ours will balance it out.

Wow. The ay off to go to the beach? I do give my kids days off but they are for reasons, we have things to take care of and stuff but just to go to the beach? Um, no.

She's such a dimwit. The kids are going to fall so behind if they keep missing days because she ASKED them if they didn't want to go! She's a perfect example of why I think there should be common sense testing before pregnancy is allowed.

There was one time when my parents gave me the option of going to school or not. It was my junior year of high school and the day of my brother's wedding.

I woke up and said, "you know, we've got lots of crap to get done... I'm not going to school. I'm gonna stay here and help out."

You amaze me, Chickie. I would have already beat the ever-loving snot out of the ex-wife. Bravo.

Kat - I can see staying home in the rare instance there is something IMPORTANT that needs to be done. She's picked them up from school early before because it was starting to rain and she didn't want her other kids to get wet.

Bekah - You have a good idea about the before pregnancy testing. If you run for President, I'll vote for you.

Joe Fuel - It's one thing to stay home to help out with a once-in-a-lifetime event as opposed to going to the dang beach that's spitting distance away.

As for the brutality you speak of - the day is still young.

She makes my heart hurt...why is it irresponsible people like her can have babies and those who are good people, well...can't.

Shannon - I've wondered the same thing.
